Our breeding philosophy
The basis of every dog breeding programme is always the selection of breeding dogs. It is important that both breeding partners have a friendly and confident nature, as it is extremely important to breed compatible and resilient dogs, especially in today's world. Dogs that can easily integrate into our society. We therefore attach great importance to both parents having complementary temperaments and being friendly towards people and other dogs.

"Breeding to the best of our knowledge and belief"

The Kooikerhondje breed is not easy to breed. Due to the genetic bottleneck that the Kooikerhondje went through after the Second World War, it is unfortunately prone to various hereditary diseases today. These include polimyositis, kidney disease, hereditary necrotising myelopathy, van Willebrand's disease, patella luxation, epilepsy and cancer. As responsible breeders, we therefore endeavour to continually update our knowledge of heritability.
Unfortunately, despite the most careful selection of mating partners, even we cannot give a "guarantee" of lifelong health. Dogs - like us humans - are living beings that can become ill, develop allergies, develop arthrosis, etc., despite optimal conditions (planning, rearing, nutrition, etc.). However, you can rest assured that we have done everything we can in advance, to the best of our knowledge and belief, to create the best possible conditions for a dog to live as long and healthy a life as possible alongside its owner.
Our values

Health
We endeavour to breed healthy puppies to the best of our knowledge and belief.

Stable character
We do our utmost to breed Kooikerhondjes with the most stable character possible.

Family attachment
It is important to us to raise the puppies in a family environment and to look after and encourage them with a great deal of dedication.

Frühförderung
As the weeks go by, we take over the original role of the mother dog as a rock in the surf and make many adventures possible for the puppies.
