Day 63, April 30, 2024
Small update: A lot has been happening since yesterday. Fee is nesting, panting, reorganising the whelping box. She is no longer eating, is restless, her temperature has dropped, then risen again. The birth is just round the corner and yet nothing has happened so far....

Day 60, April 27, 2024
We are ready....❤ A few days ago, FeeliFee was a little nervous. She followed us everywhere we went and never let us out of her sight. Since yesterday she has been calm, sleeps a lot and enjoys the nice weather. She now weighs 11.5 kg, has a belly circumference of 58 cm and her temperature is a constant 37 °C. Only a few more days until birth....🍀

Day 55, April 22, 2024
FeeliFee had her x-ray today. She now weighs 10.7 kg and her belly's circumference is 54 cm. There are now 5 puppies visible on the x-ray ❤❤❤. The vet assured that Fee is in very good nutritional condition: not too fat, but not too thin either. And: all puppies are about the same size 🍀. The countdown begins...

Day 49, April 16, 2024
Day 49, how exciting... Now the 8th week begins. Fee's weight is still 10.5kg and her belly size is unchanged. Fee follows us wherever we go - she rarely leaves our side.

-
Day 46, April 13, 2024
FeeliFee has her birthday today... She is already 3 years old! The whelping box is already set up. She already loves it because there is always a piece of food in the crate. But she still prefers the fabric dog box under the office table. Fee no longer knows how to sit properly. Two days ago, she started to move her knees to the side when she sits so that there is room for her tummy. She now weighs 10.5 kg and has a belly circumference of 52 cm.
The foetuses now hang from the umbilical cord like space travellers in outer space and move freely in the amniotic fluid-filled bladders. The foetuses are already panting in the womb, which protects them from overheating even before birth, as they lack sweat glands.

Day 42, April 9th 2024
Fee is on 3 meals a day since yesterday. She is still agile and loves to go on great walks. Fee seeks to get close to "her" people and is wherever I or Daniel are. She has become more cautious and avoids anything that could be "dangerous". Today on the walk she stopped on a little wall that she now finds "insurmountable", where the others simply took a step over it. FeeliFee gratefully let herself slide into my arms to land on the ground. The last third of her pregnancy begins tomorrow. She now weighs 10.2 kg (original weight 8.5 kg).

Day 39, April 6th, 2024
In this picture we can't see much of the belly. But the scales tell a different story. FeeliFee has gained 900 grams in just over a week. She now weighs 9.7 kg. She feels good and is much calmer and more relaxed. We have now laid PVC flooring in the office and the downstair's room. A cupboard has been cleared out to keep all the puppy things within easy reach. The whelping box will arrive on Wednesday.
Since yesterday the eyelids have formed and the fingers are fully separated and spread. The male sex can now be determined. The foetuses weigh about 6 grams and are about 45mm long.
-
Day 36, April 3, 2024
FeeliFee is enjoying her holiday to the full and is still running around with her friends. However, we control the play sessions so that everything runs smoothly.
Since yesterday the eyes and ears are fully developed and the fingers are separated.
-
Day 34, April 1, 2024
Fee's slim waist is barely visible. We can already see that Fee is getting a little rounder.
From day 34, the female dog's belly gets bigger.

Day 31, March 29th, 2024
Die ersten Schritte sind getan, Abmessen nach Angaben der Grösse der Wurfkiste...
